Beginning the Tour
Ennis + Cliffs of Moher
After a brief orientation, we hopped on the bus and headed towards the iconic cliffs for our first excursion.

An Evening in Ennis
After returning from the cliffs, we met outside our hotel and took a quick walk through the winding streets of Ennis, ending up at Henry’s Bistro + Wine Bar where we had our first tour dinner. We relished the chance to get to know our fellow tour members a bit better over a hearty meal.
After dinner, we explored the town a bit on our own. Being a Sunday, most shops were closed, but a few pubs were open. We decided to call it a night after a couple of drinks and headed back to our hotel for a late night pizza delivery.

We left Ennis the next morning. Along the way, we stopped in Listowel at the John B. Keane pub where we learned about the playwright’s life and work from his son and fellow author, Billy Keane. We greatly enjoyed hearing his stories over scones and tea! This was an unexpected experience that highlights the advantage of traveling on a Rick Steves tour.
